The Popular Show Campaign 4 Unveils the Fighters Party

From the very beginning of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with extensive world-building, a diverse cast of heroes, and a exciting storyline featuring celestial beings, evil spirits, and sinister influences increasing in power within the city.

Warning: Key plot points for the latest installment of Campaign 4 follow below.

The Combat-Oriented Party Revealed

The third episode finished on a dramatic pause and revealed the first table of heroes who will branch out from the main group to embark on their own adventure, distinct from the additional parties.

The Soldiers table features Teor (played by the voice actor), Thimble (the talented performer), the fierce warrior (the cast member), Wicander Halovar (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie).

Why Split the Party?

With 13 cast members, it was clear from the outset that having everyone at one table would be impossible.

This explains, the initial installments of the new season serve as an Prelude, connecting the characters’ stories before dividing into three separate parties: Warriors, Planners, and Questers.

Characteristics of the Soldiers Table

According to the Dungeon Master, the combat-focused party is for adventurers who prefer a typically action-packed battle-oriented gameplay experience where diplomatic options are few and far between.

Upon first impression, figures such as the hesitant healer Wicander Halovar might seem out of place, but the events of episode 3 demonstrate why these five characters are ideally matched for the combat party.

Motivations for Departure

To begin with, the team knows exactly where to go next after a intense opening clash with The Crow Keepers.

An old friend of Thjazi Fang—whose death kicked off the story’s plot—manipulated the enemy for his personal gain, breaking into the hidden lair, attacking Thimble, and stealing all the enchanted items to sell off.

The antagonist then cleared his debts and fled to a fortified location in the remote area, above the city, with Cyd close behind.

Personal Motivations

Secondly, each member has a individual motive to leave the city Dol-Makjar:

  • Thimble, as the close ally and best friend, seeks revenge.
  • The adventurer has experience in the northern area and warns that it is a dangerous environment.
  • Tyranny and The healer, having resisted his family’s wishes to execute Teor and instead saved him, have no other options.
  • Yet, their reputation as prominent individuals in the powerful family could enable the group enter areas they usually can’t.
  • Additionally, Teor pledged a life debt to The savior for his rescue and will now go with him wherever.

Fugitives

In addition, all of them are hunted by the rulers that control Dol-Makjar for a variety of reasons, making lingering locally no longer safe:

  • The rogue and The hero are notorious outlaws.
  • The warrior and The cleric betrayed the influential house and the horde of evil beings they are allied with.
  • The target is targeted for elimination by House Halovar.

This means them little choice but to head to the northern region in quest for the traitor.

Future Episodes

From episode three’s Cooldown, we learn that the Soldiers table will be absent next week, leaving the rest of the participants to assemble the Questers and Planners parties.

Audiences can expect finding out which players will be where in the story’s final introductory chapter, streaming live on October 24.
